I worked in the property management industry for 7 years, in which time I was able to gain extensive knowledge of real estate terminology and the various regulations governing real estate, both on a national level as well as specifically for Pennsylvania.
I hold a Real Estate Salesperson’s License in the State of Pennsylvania and have received multiple certifications related to affordable housing programs and their regulations such as from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the U.S. Department of Agriculture – Rural Development, etc.
Thus, I have a deep understanding of real estate documents such as lease agreements, real estate purchase contracts, etc.
Throughout my time in property management positions, I also dealt quite extensively with the preparation of budgets and financial reports as well as reporting to the board of directors and other ownership entities. Thus, I understand and feel comfortable translating these types of documents.
I have experience transcribing and translating German documents that were written in the Old German Script (Sütterlin, Fraktur). Genealogy is one of my personal interests and hobbies, and through researching my own ancestors in Germany, I have come across many family documents that needed to be deciphered first. This can be a challenging task, but can also be very rewarding.
